Studio Coordinator (Front Desk)

Kapwa Tattoo Studio is looking for a Studio Coordinator to help run the day-to-day operations of our Kalihi studio and ensure every client who walks through our doors has an exceptional experience.
 
This role is perfect for someone who is friendly, organized, and enjoys working in a creative environment. You’ll be the first point of contact for our clients and will help keep the studio running smoothly while supporting our artists and guest artists.
 
We will also be hiring for a similar position at our Kakaʻako location in the near future.

Position Details
Position: Studio Coordinator
Location: Kapwa Tattoo Studio - Kalihi
Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday
Hourly Pay: $18/hour
Bonus: $10 bonus for each walk-in tattoo that gets completed

This is a part-time employee position with opportunities to grow as the studio expands.

What You’ll Do
Client Experience
• Greet every client who enters the studio
• Confirm which artist they are seeing
• Notify artists when their clients arrive
• Ensure clients feel welcomed and comfortable

Walk-In Clients
• Greet walk-ins and ask about their tattoo idea
• Check which artists are available
• Connect clients with the appropriate artist
• Help facilitate walk-in tattoos when possible

Phones & Inquiries
• Answer the studio phone
• Respond to basic questions about the studio
• Direct booking inquiries to our booking system

Guest Artist Support
• Welcome guest artists when they arrive
• Ensure their clients are greeted and checked in smoothly
• Help maintain a professional studio environment

Studio Operations
• Keep the front desk and lobby organized
• Help maintain cleanliness in shared areas
• Assist with light studio tasks when needed

Opening & Closing
Depending on your shift you may also:

Opening Duties
• Unlock doors
• Turn on lights and music
• Prepare the front desk
• Ensure lobby is clean and ready for clients

Closing Duties
• Tidy the front desk and lobby
• Turn off lights and music
• Lock the studio

Customer service experience is helpful but not required.
