Please provide the following information for us to market you.

Describe the inspirations, themes, and techniques that influence your work as a tattoo artist. How does your personal or cultural background shape your artistry? Feel free to share your professional experience, notable collaborations, exhibitions, and other creative projects that highlight your artistic growth.

Please submit the best quality pictures you can. Low-resolution images might not show your work properly and could affect the review of your application.

Please provide a professional headshot if possible.
Please provide up to 10 images of your work.

Working With Us

Thank you for considering a guest spot at Kapwa Tattoo Studio! We’re excited at the prospect of hosting you in our private studio in Honolulu. It is an honor to welcome talented tattoo artists from around the world, and we’re committed to making your experience exceptional. If you’d like to invite other artists or have any questions, feel free to reach out.

  • Shop minimum: $150

  • Commission structure: To help with taveling costs, we do a flexible rate of 70% for the Artist, 30% for the Studio with a $300 daily cap. Everything you make after $1000 you keep. For example, If you make $2000 in one day, pay the shop $300 only.

  • Hourly rates for artists range between $150 and $300, contingent upon skill level, experience, following, and demand.

  • We recommend a minimum stay of 3 days, with a maximum duration of 2 months (unless otherwise arranged with the owner).

  • Our walk-in traffic is limited as a private studio, typically a few per week.

  • While we cannot guarantee a fully booked schedule, guest artists have historically experienced significant success by promoting their visit on Instagram 2-4 weeks in advance.

  • We are open from 10 AM - 7 PM every day but if you need to work outside of our normal hours, we can make sure you have access. 

To reserve your spot, we require a $150 deposit, which will be credited back to you upon the conclusion of your stay.

 

The purpose of this deposit is to ensure mutual accountability; Kapwa utilizes these funds to promote your artwork. Should you need to cancel your reservation, kindly provide at least 30 daysʻ notice for a full refund.
